William Robinson

William Robinson (they/them) is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, where they trained at Nashville Ballet and the School of Dance and Music. They continued their training at Pace University in New York City, earning a BFA in Choreography and Pedagogy. While at Pace, William developed an interest in pointe work and began training en pointe during their junior year. William joined Indianapolis Ballet in the fall of 2021 and was promoted to Soloist for the 2023–2024 season. Their repertoire includes principal and featured roles in classical and neoclassical works, including Mercutio in Septime Webre’s Romeo and Juliet and Prince Désiré in The Sleeping Beauty. They have also performed works by George Balanchine, including SerenadeJewels, and Square Dance. William has also choreographed works for Indianapolis Ballet and the Indianapolis School of Ballet.
